Electric Motor System Technician

Electric Motor System Technician – Hagen Electric LTD

Main Functions: Repair, overhaul, maintain, rewind, test and service all electrical mechanical equipment jobs and services calls taken on by service shop.

Reports to: Service Manager

Daily Duties:

  • Service work orders taken on by shop including on site service
  • Use computer to manage work orders and parts
  • Recommend alternatives and replacements for customer work orders if required
  • Talking to customers on the phone if required
  • Work on reporting, safety sheets and other paperwork
  • Maintaining and cleaning work area
  • Communicate with sales and purchasing staff on customer support
  • Review work order progress
  • Assemble and test new equipment

Weekly Duties:

  • Working with sales staff on project coordination and support

Monthly Duties:

  • Communication and training with service manager
  • Research and training on new service technologies

Annual Duties:

  • Hagen Electric shop equipment maintenance

Working Conditions:

  • Indoors and outdoors with exposure to dust and varying temperatures
  • Loud noise
  • Extended periods of standing and lifting
  • Fast paced work environment
  • Exposure to hazardous materials and environments requiring safety equipment and procedures
  • Working with hands and power tools around large equipment

Employment Requirements:

  • Proficient spoken and written English
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic ability with computers, software and related field technologies
  • Ability to work with hands and rapidly problem solve
  • Class 5 drivers license
